This is a great program for customers that only expect to own their property for 1 to 3 years. This loan is fixed for the first three years, and then it converts to an adjustable rate loan that adjusts annually based on the 1 year treasury note plus a margin. The fixed period rate (and payments) on this loan is considerably lower than the standard 30-year fixed rate loan. It's a great option for those consumers that want the stability of a fixed interest rate, but only intend to own the property for a few years.
